The Faux Hawks

The Cinnamon Girls Plus A Sequel To "ziggy Stardust" -- Listening Party

March 24

Doors: 7:30 pm /

Show: 8:00 pm

Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize, but he didn’t throw a party. Celebrate with
The Faux Hawks, a collection of Triangle musicians who will play Dylan’s
outrageous first “electric” album, the 1965 classic “Bringing It All Back
Home,” start to finish. Songs include “Mr. Tambourine Man,” “Subterranean
Homesick Blues,” “Maggie’s Farm,” and “Gates of Eden.”

Clay Boyer (The Outboards)
John Elderkin (The Popes)
Doug Macmillan (The Connells)
Matt McMichaels (Mayflies USA)
Mark Simonsen (Old Ceremony)
Andy Ware (Hobex)

David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” record promised the world would end in five
years… but we’re still here. “The Fall and Rise of John Elderkin and
¡Moonbeams No Mas!” picks up the story where it left off. The record works
as a rock opera, with characters and plot, but it is not a musical homage
to Bowie. Instead, former Pope John Elderkin has collected a group of
fellow Carolinians to create their own Everyperson’s epic story of hope,
loss, and resilience.

And a trip to the moon in a homemade rocket.
