Evening Elephants is a playful duo whose sound blends sunny indie rock hooks with hip-hop and electronic sounds. After garnering buzz for singles like 2024’s “Parking Lot Problems” and 2025’s breakout “Snow on the Bluff,” they made their label debut with the Carefree, very EP on Republic. The full-length Wholeheartedly, Terribly Sweet, arrived in 2026.
Hailing from Los Angeles, Evening Elephants features vocalist Sam Boggs and drummer/producer Brandon Leslie. They initially came together in 2021 after meeting at a party in Silverlake and discovering their shared musical chemistry. Prior to joining forces, Boggs had worked as a producer and Leslie had pursued a solo project. Soon, they were recording tracks together and releasing them online; these included 2023’s “Life Is Swell,” “Snow on the Bluff,” and “Rent Free.” More singles followed in 2024, including “Succubus,” “Pheromones,” and the breakout “Snow on the Bluff,” leading to a deal with the Republic label. Carefree, very, their major label debut, appeared in 2025, followed a year later by their first full-length, Wholeheartedly, Terribly Sweet.
